Brought to you by Annie’s Coupon Adventure!

Here are some delicious restaurants that I thoroughly enjoy.

I hope you can take an adventure and try one of these places!

Salazar Brothers Mexican Food (yelp! website)

2700 W Baseline Rd
Tempe, AZ 85282

Review: We love mexican food in my house and this is the most authentic place that we have come across that’s within a mile of our home. The interior reminds you of a traditional taco shop. I love the food and the prices. I recommened the carnitas (shredded pork) or the carne asada burritos. There are aguas frescas available (fruit drinks) and I love every single flavor. This is located in the same lot as the Fry’s Grocery Store on the corner of Baseline and 48th St.

Nello’s Pizza

4710 East Warner Road
Phoenix, AZ 85044

*closed Mondays

Review: We love pizza and we love Nellos. The only thing is that it is a hassle to get in a sit down to eat. We love everything that is on the menu and would probably frequent the place a little more often if there wasn’t such a long wait. But my husband and I are instant gratification types. So this is definitely a place that is worth the wait.

Panda Garden

4730 East Warner Rd #14

Phoenix, Arizona 85044

Review: This is the best Chinese food restaurant in Ahwatukee in my opinion. They are quick and everything is made fresh and is delicious. We get this delivered to the house quite regularly and it’s here within 20 minutes and is still pipping hot. I love the orange chicken and the egg rolls.

Caffe Boa

5063 East Elliot Road
Phoenix, AZ 85044

Review: This is a good place to get a drink and some finger food. There is always live music and a ton of people around. It can get kind of pricey but there are things on the menu that are budget conscious.

Va Bene

4647 E Chandler Blvd # 1
Phoenix, AZ 85048

Review: This is an Italian restaurant and everything on the menu is delicious. They have numerous pastas to choose from each one made to order. I love the gnocchi alla vodka and the mushroom chicken fettuccine. There are many things you can try. There is a bar and a sit down restaruant. This makes it easy to either have a nice quite  dinner date or loud music party date. Or both. It’s up to you.

Nyro’s Gyro’s

10826 S 48th St

Phoenix, Arizona 85044

Review: I have not been able to find a decent gyro here is Arizona.. and the search was going for about 8 years strong. That was until I found Nyro’s. The gyros are delicious and everything that is heavenly is piled into a pita here. Words cannot describe the way this gyro will just melt into your mouth. I suggest you try this out if you have never had a gyro before!

Restaurant Thursday!

Do you live in Ahwatukee (Phoenix), Arizona?

Then you are in luck! I have listed a couple of WONDERFUL restaurants located in the heart of Ahwatukee.

Spinatos Pizza

4848 East Chandler Boulevard

Phoenix, Arizona 85048

Review: Great Pizza! Thin crust and not very heavy. The sauce is a sweet Italian sauce and all the ingredients are fresh.

Deals?: Sign up for Spinato’s Email Club for special coupons!

Naked Pizza

4747 E Elliot Rd

Phoenix, AZ 85044

Review: From Naked Pizza’s website “So we make a delicious, honest pizza with no freaky chemicals, based on the latest nutritional science. Then deliver it lickety split.” I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease about 6 months ago and pizza was an item that would cause a flare up almost just the sight of it. But with Naked Pizza I can eat an entire pizza and feel perfectly fine. The fresh ingredients, no preservatives and the added probiotics can really make a Crohn’s sufferer a pizza eater again!

Deals?: I haven’t found many. Check the website and your mailbox for coupons. I have seen 1 in the last 4 weeks…

Rosatis Pizza

4206 E. Chandler Blvd.

Phoenix, AZ   85048

Review: My husband loves this pizza. It reminds him the pizza he used to get when he lived in Chicago. These pizzas are huge and they are delicious but they can get very heavy and kind of greasy. They also have an abundance of other items to choose from (pastas, salads, calzones…etc). It’s a small place and you have to bring it home or have it delivered. But what’s better than eating in your pajamas?

Deals?: There are coupons in the Valpak mailers and in the Ahwatukee Foothills News circular.

CK’s Bar and Grill

4142 E. Chandler Blvd.

Phoenix, AZ 85048

Review: This is where the locals hang out. They have multiple televisions, a pool table, an outdoor patio and a shuffleboard table. They offer live music on the weekends and have all the sports games you could think of televised. You can get good deals of food and beer. This is a place we frequent weekly during football season. You can grab a bite to eat and a cold one while hanging out with good friends and people.

Deals?: They always have daily deals and specials, check the website for more details!

Bagel Nosh

4855 E Warner Rd

Phoenix, AZ 85044

Review: This is only open until 2pm Monday through Saturday. But it’s well worth getting up to get your fix. My husband and I will grab a bagel and some of their delicious coffee on a Sunday morning prior to visiting the parents. This is a place frequented by the cyclists of Ahwatukee (the bike shop is next door) so don’t be surprised if you walk in and there are men in biker shorts. It caught me off guard but now you have been warned. The bagels are delicious and soft. The cream cheese is homemade and you can buy tubs of it to bring home! But the coffee is better than anything you can get at Starbucks. AND you get a friendly face and your order walked out to you.

Deals?: None that I have seen. If you know of any LET ME KNOW!!

Sakana Sushi (no website available)

5061 E Elliot Rd

Phoenix, AZ 85044

Review: Sakana is an excellent place to get sushi or Teppanayki. The prices are almost as good as the food itself. This is a small restaurant and there are only 4 locations Arizona. The environment is friendly and it definitely gets you in the Japanese food mood. There is a small bar (4-6 people), a sushi bar and regular tables. There are happy hour drink and sushi specials. My husband and I can eat an entire meal with a couple of drinks for under $30.00 which is amazing considering my husband is a bottomless pit. The sushi is top grade and the other food is alright. The only thing is that it does take a minute to get your food. If you are planning to eat and run this is not the place for you.

Deals?: Happy hour sushi and drinks. I have seen a couple of coupons in home mailers but they are rare.

Come back next Thursday for more local Restaurants and Deals!
